Student seeks information about Tarahumara culture

Greetings!

I have been contacted by student Arthur Cortez with a number of questions about Raramuri Culture. I only run the machines that keep this site running, so I don't feel qualified to answer his questions, but I thought the Radio Tarahumara community might be able to help him out.

His questions were regarding:

  • Geographic location
  • Traditional clothing
  • Traditional food
  • Raramuri music
  • Interesting facts or cultural practices
  • Traditional stories and cultural mythos (creation stories, etc)

If you can help, please contact Arthur directly at:

viva_la_arthur@yahoo.com

Thanks!

Steve

Yes indeed,this is a good

Yes indeed, this is a good start in knowing the culture of other race.We should also be aware of them because by that,we can build friendship with them as well as help them in any way we can.As we can see,our economy is struggling for help regarding financial concern. As the recent unemployment and jobs report came in, so did some other data. Americans are using fewer credit cards, and less use is being made of the cards they do use. People do not see charge cards as the best source of instant cash anymore. The data also shows that individuals are saving more and more. Consumer goods are a huge part of the economy, and purchasing non-essential goods has dropped off which is counterproductive to the economy.
